中国文化向来以人为核心，正如中国哲学从来都不只是纯粹的哲学，而总是与哲学家的政治诉求相联系一样，中国古代哲人的理论探索，从来不止于对宇宙万物的考察、对终极真理的追寻，儒家如此，道家亦如此。老子确立了形而上的“道”，也自然要为之寻找一个“配天之极”的人。体用不二，道德与圣人合一。“五千言”既是对道、德的诠释，更是在此基础上对老子所追求的圣人理想的阐发。因此，对老子圣人观的理解，亦即对《老子》中所谓“道德”的体悟。本文对《老子》中“圣人”一词的多次阐述，试图理解老子所要表达的圣人观念。 As we all know, one of the most significant features of Chinese culture is to take Human as the core. Just as the Chinese philosophy is always linked to the political idea of the philosophers in their special ages, the Chinese ancient people never end their exploration and theories with some metaphysical substance or existence. They usually are more likely to take another step to find out A Perfect Man for their ideal Substance. Lao Tzu, the representative of Taoist culture, does not only figure out the ultimate source of the whole world--Tao, but also come up with his notion about the Sacred Man, which corresponds to Tao. Tao, Te and the Sacred Man match up with each other and they exist as a whole, and the 5,000 words of Tao Te Ching are all about them. Consequently, if we want to have a better understanding of Tao of Lao Tzu, we had better to figure out his thoughts about the Sacred Man. This article will attach more importance to the chapters which directly contain the exact word the Sacred Man , and try to use other chapters in this book to help to explore Lao Tzu’s concept about the Sacred Man in this paper.
