由于其重要的地理位置、多元的民族构成等因素，新疆维吾尔自治区的经济发展情况和社会稳定形势一直是党和国家高度重视的两个关键方面。因此多年以来，发展经济水平和维护社会稳定都占据着新疆建设历程中的重要地位，但其孰轻孰重一直无明确的定论，对于二者间的关系也时有探讨。总体来说，该方面现有的相关研究较少，且多为单向或单一影响的探究，系统的总结和辩证的思考较为缺乏。本文基于已有的研究成果，首先分别对新疆的经济发展和社会稳定情况进行回顾梳理，大致描绘其至今的历史轮廓，以期帮助把握其中的特征规律和趋势走向；随后从发展经济水平对社会稳定的正负面作用、维护社会稳定对经济发展的正负面作用、二者间的协同作用几个方面进行思考并提出观点；接着就新疆近十年的生产总值和维稳支出进行数据分析，为未来的发展趋势提供参考；最后得出结论。在新时代的大背景下，新疆的建设发展也进入新的阶段，此时对发展经济水平和维护社会稳定两个重要任务进行回顾、总结、思考和展望，具有一定的理论价值和实际意义。

Due to its important geographical location and diverse ethnic composition, the economic development and social stability of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have always been two key aspects that the Party and the state attach great importance to. Therefore, for many years, the development of economic level and the maintenance of social stability have occupied an important position in the construction process of Xinjiang. However, there has been no clear conclusion about its importance, and the relationship between the two has also been discussed. In general, there are few related studies in this area, and most of them are one-way or single-impact inquiry, and systematic summarization and dialectical thinking are lacking. Based on the existing research results, this paper firstly reviews and summarizes the economic development and social stability of Xinjiang, and roughly describes its historical contours so as to help grasp the characteristic laws and trends; then think about the positive and negative effects of the development of economic level on social stability, the positive and negative effects of maintaining social stability on economic development, and the synergy between the two, and put forward ideas; then carry out data analysis on the GDP and stability expenditures of Xinjiang in the past decade, as to provide a reference for the future development trend; finally draws a conclusion. Under the background of the new era, the construction and development of Xinjiang has also entered a new stage. At this time, reviewing, summarizing, thinking and forecasting the two important tasks of developing economic level and maintaining social stability have certain theoretical and practical significance.
