For each individual child, the educational expenditures they receive are influenced by many factors. Taking the (CFPS)2018 dataset as an example, this paper constructs a regression model and a mediation effect test model, and explores the influencing factors of education expenditure from the perspectives of family capital, family structure and family concern. The results show that the three components of family capital, which is economic capital, social capital and cultural capital, have a significant positive impact on education expenditure. From the perspective of family structure, the more children the family with, the less education expenditure each one has. ; From the perspective of family concern, parents who have a better understanding of their children have greater decision-making power over the family's financial expenditures. Therefore, their children spend more on education. In addition, through the mediating effect analysis of parents' financial expenditure decisions, it is found that parents' attention to their children has a role in promoting parents' decision-making power in family expenditure. The decision-making power of parents in household expenditure plays a complete mediating effect on the influence mechanism of parents' children's attention on children's education expenditure.
